So here’s my confession, I am totally obsessed with tapping. I know it sounds weird and if you choose to try it you’ll probably feel a little silly doing it the first time. Especially since you have to say as you’re tapping that you, “deeply love and accept yourself.”

But stick with me here. It does actually make you feel really good. EFT (Emotional Freedom Therapy), also known as tapping, is way to process through and reduce fear, stress and anxiety. Let’s face it pursuing something really big, important, or meaningful has a way of testing what you are made of. Within every goal is the obstacle to keeping that goal and more often than not what gets in the way is fear. For that reason, I am always on the lookout for new and better ways for coping with fear. Meditation, yoga, and acupuncture, have all played a role in helping me to stay calm and centered but they are not specifically for processing fear. Tapping is.

So why does tapping help? To be quite honest, I’m not exactly sure. It is based on acupuncture meridians in the body and tapping on them to remove energy blocks. That’s about as much as I understand. But it is the simplest way to bring down stress and anxiety that I have found. I’ve been talking about it with my family and friends and whenever I get that excited about something I want to share it with everyone I know, including you. I would LOVE for you to try it and tell me what you think. Open minds please. If you do take the leap of faith and try it, let me know what you think in the comments or pop on over to our private facebook book group.

Here’s one of my favorite teachers – Brad Yates – in a video on resistance. A topic that comes up a lot when you are trying to keep your commitments but your mind is trying to discourage you! You can find hundreds of videos on Youtube on various subjects if this one doesn’t resonate with you.
