Accountability Works Community Recommendations

Today we are sharing June’s Accountability Works Community Recommendations. We couldn’t include them all so we are putting together a running list. Please leave your recommendations in the comments and we will be sure to add them. We are always looking for interesting books, articles, videos, shows, movies and podcasts to share! Keep reading to see what people are excited about this month…

Read: Atomic Habits by James Clear

This month’s read was suggested by our very own member, coach, and airline captain, Karin Martin. She has been raving about this book since she picked it up. And she is not the first one we’ve heard this from. If you want help and motivation for breaking and/or creating habits – this is a great book to pick up.

Watch:  Carole Cadwalladr’s TED Talk: Facebook’s role in Brexit – and the threat to democracy

This TED Talk was recommended by new member and speaker coach, Helena Bowen. Journalist, Carole Cadwalladr, has an incredible way of breaking down not only the role of Facebook in the Brexit vote but how all social media platforms are impacting democratic systems. She calls out the titans of Silicon Valley in way that gave us chills.

Listen:  Podcast: Experts on Expert – Esther Perel

This episode of Experts on Expert featuring famed psychotherapist, relationship and sexuality expert, Esther Perel, was recommended to us by community member Erin Stephans. Esther Perel’s podcast, Where Should We Begin? –  is one we recommend often, it’s binge-worthy and thought provoking. If you already love her – this interview with Dax Shepard is especially insightful into how Esther came to question cultural norms and become a voice and advocate for unconventional views on relationships, marriage, infidelity, sex, and so much more.
