You are The Overbooker.

The Reality Check:

The Overbooker’s favorite phrase is: “I’m so busy.”

You are a pro at filling up your calendar, often to the point of total overwhelm.

For Overbookers: Overwhelm = Avoidance

Moira Rose from Schitt's Creek saying I'm so busy at a computer.

Your Procrastination Habit:

You create chaos to avoid facing what really needs your attention.

Usually, it’s not a task you are avoiding but a feeling.

Your Biggest Challenge:

Setting (and sticking to) boundaries so you can pay attention to what matters most.

How to Break the Cycle

To stop overbooking and start making mindful progress, try these three steps today:

1. Practice Mindfulness Think of one thing you’ve been procrastinating. Ask your body: What feeling am I avoiding? Once you recognize it, allow yourself to feel it, then let it go.

2. Create a 24-Hour Buffer Stop the “Automatic Yes.” Impose a waiting period before committing to anything new. Commit to waiting 24 hours before saying yes to any big personal or professional request. This gives your “Mindful Self” time to override your “Overbooker Self.”

3. Plan Your Priorities (Not Your Tasks) Stop managing by to-do list and start managing by what’s actually important. Use our Accountability Action Plan to identify and focus your limited time, energy, and resources on the work that actually matters
