Read: Atomic Habits by James Clear
This month’s read was suggested by our very own member and coach, Karin Martin. She has been raving about this book since she picked it up. In fact, she is not the only person we’ve heard this from. This book has been quite popular with our members and coaches because it speaks to a core part of our program. That is so say creating solid habits. As the subtitle suggests, if you want an easy and proven way to build good habits and break bad ones, this is a great book to pick up.
Watch: Carole Cadwalladr’s TED Talk: Facebook’s role in Brexit and the threat to democracy
This TED Talk was recommended by new member and speaker coach, Helena Bowen. Since Helena is a TED coach herself, we take her recommendations on great TED Talks seriously. In this one, journalist, Carole Cadwalladr explains the role of Facebook in the Brexit vote and how all social media platforms are impacting democratic systems. She bravely calls out the titans of Silicon Valley in way that gave us chills.
Listen: Podcast: Experts on Expert – Esther Perel
This episode of Experts on Expert features famed psychotherapist and relationship expert, Esther Perel. It was recommended to us by community member Erin Stephens. Esther Perel’s podcast, Where Should We Begin?, is one we recommend often because it’s both binge-worthy and thought provoking. If you already love her then this interview with Dax Shepard will give you special insight into her personal history. It in Perel explains how she came to question cultural norms and become a voice and advocate for unconventional views on relationships, marriage, infidelity, sex, and so much more.
