This week we are excited to share our AW Member Q+A with Ben Detlor. Ben came to us after coming across an article on procrastination that we wrote for Business Insider. What we loved about Ben is he recognized a solution to a problem that he was having and he took action. He worked in a private with AW Coach, Amanda Hogberg, on developing healthy work and personal habits, feeling physically good, and being more organized. Check out his answers to the Q+A below and learn more about this motivated young man.

Name…

Ben Detlor

My true north/WHY is…

I have yet to discover my true north/WHY – but until then, it is trying to become the best version of myself and to live a happy and fulfilling life.

My expertise/zone of genius is…

Golf, fitness, gaming, my work, and self-improvement.

My daily practices are…

Starts the night before with my sleep routine which helps me get a good night’s sleep and being prepared for the day when I wake up.

Then I have my caffeine, supplements, and breakfast while I wake up and check my phone, e-mail, etc.

Try to focus on work until lunch.

After lunch, work a bit more, and then usually break and go to the gym or just a mental break while running an errand before finishing the day’s work.

Once done, do whatever I want and enjoy the rest of the day.

My Favorite indulgence is…

Food!

My Reading, listening and/or watching…

Unbreakable by Jay Glazer.. The jury is out on that so far.

To me, accountability is…

Planning what I truly want to do and making sure I get started on it in order to avoid the cycle of procrastination.

Accountability Works helps me…

Be mindful of deep-rooted habits and staying on top of my goals.

One thing we hope you take away from reading our Q+A with Ben Detlor, is that the common thread between our members is a desire to improve and a willingness to be held accountable to the changes those improvements require. The lesson plan is always yours, it’s always unique to you, and the process is ours and it works.
